National Fire Protection Association, NFPA 70E

The NFPA 70E, "Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace" is the "how to" guide used by OSHA field personnel to determine compliance with the rather vaguely written OSHA regulations. While not legally binding, this document defines procedures and  rules designed to keep personnel safe from electrical injuries in much the same way as the "National Electrical Code" NFPA 70, defines the correct methods for installing electrical equipment.
This document or "code" along with the OSHA regulations form the basis for this study.
All electrical personnel should be aware of these documents and how they pertain to on the job electrical hazards.
